Hello, World!

This is the obligatory Hello, World! post.

I've been meaning to start writing about software again for quite some time, but like many side projects, it remained perpetually "almost ready." Eventually I realized I was spending more time thinking about writing than actually doing it.

This blog is different.

Instead of publishing on a hosted platform, I decided to build my own little corner of the internet using Material for Mkdocs and GitHub Pages. It's fast, minimalist, and gives me complete control over both the content and the code. More importantly, it stays out of the way and lets me focus on what matters: writing.

I plan to write about whatever I'm currently obsessed with, especially interpreters, compilers, programming language design, and the occasional deep dive into software engineering. There will probably be detours into AI, developer tools, and the strange rabbit holes that every programmer inevitably falls into at 2 a.m.

This site is also a playground. I'll experiment with ideas, document projects, share things I've learned the hard way, and occasionally write simply because something was too interesting not to.

So, here's to a fresh start, a static site, and hopefully many posts that follow.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. 🍷
